How I see myself

I am a UX researcher with a background in psychology research and strategy consulting. I combine qualitative and quantitative research methods to design and conduct user research that will help cross-functional teams design better experiences for users. I act as a liaison between users, designers, developers, and other stakeholders to be able to tell multi-faceted stories derived from multiple data-driven research and analysis.

My work as a consultant focused on doing market research for different products and services and how and when customers and other stakeholders use them, which made me develop an interest in UX design and research.

Prior to my work in industry I received my MA and PhD in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, where my research focused on understanding and improving individual and group decision-making processes via designing platforms such as forums, chat rooms, and online training modules for a government funded project. Specifically, I studied how considering alternatives and/or taking different viewpoints might lead to more accurate decisions and better outcomes.

I enjoy playing RPGs/MMORPGs, practicing kyudo, and reading. Some of my favorite games are FFXIV, NieR: Automata, Dragon Age Series, Transistor, and Journey.
